Still checking Stripe against your app in a spreadsheet?
SaaS developers who already use Stripe and still manually compare subscriptions with access stored in their own app.
This is an early product concept currently being validated. The product is not yet available.
The problem
A recurring spreadsheet review can turn into a backlog when you miss a week. I’m checking whether finding and investigating access differences still takes time after Stripe’s native tools are set up.
What happens today
One person in the Reddit discussion described exporting Stripe and app records with a cron job, then scanning a spreadsheet every Monday. Another said Stripe’s existing webhooks and subscriptions interface already covers their needs. Both are useful feedback; neither proves a separate paid tool is needed.
What Stripe already handles
Stripe already provides subscriptions, webhooks and Entitlements. Your integration can use them to grant or revoke access. This concept would not replace that setup. It would compare Stripe’s expected access with records actually stored in your app, using rules you define. If your current integration or reconciliation script already does that reliably, you may not need this.
What I’m exploring
I’m exploring a tool that would offer: a scheduled, read-only comparison for one supported Stripe and app-database setup, with a review summary showing new and still-open differences. The first supported database and setup effort are not decided yet.
- Compare records on a schedule instead of preparing a weekly spreadsheet
- See the Stripe status, stored app access and comparison rule side by side
- Separate new differences from unresolved ones; review them before making changes yourself
These are proposed outcomes. There is no launch date yet.
Proposed early-access price
Would this save you enough time to be worth paying for? That’s what I’m testing.
$49 / month
No payment is collected. No subscription starts.
Would you use this?
If this is a problem you deal with, tell me a little about your workflow. Joining is an expression of interest. It does not start a subscription.
Please keep client details, credentials and confidential information out of your answers.
In your answers, tell me what remains manual after using Stripe’s native tools: finding differences, working out why they happened, or deciding what to change. Please name your database and any custom access rules, such as trials or manual overrides, without sharing customer data.
If your current tools already handle this, say so.
I want to understand what’s missing before I build anything. Your answers help me decide whether this deserves a next step. — Kai
